1: What is Big Rock Communications?
Big Rock is a business that specialises in client communications. We have spent years perfecting the marketing strategies we use to build a relationship with your email database, engage them, and create opportunities for sales.
2: Who are the people behind Big Rock and what do they do?
We are a small and dynamic team of New Zealanders that are passionate about quality client communication.
Lara McCormick is our Marketing expert who works on the front line engaging with our amazing clients to bring them on board and develop an effective marketing strategy specific to each business.
Anthony Sievers is our Production Manager and he is the one that makes sure your communications are produced to a high standard, are exactly what you need, and are delivered when they should be.
We also have a fantastic team of New Zealand based writers and support staff that produce fantastic content and keep things running as they should.
3: What does Big Rock Communications Offer?
We offer regular, high quality communication packages for your email database, as well as sales booster campaigns, bespoke writing options, social media management, company newsletters, branded magazines, and client surveys.
4: What are the main differences between the Bronze, Silver and Gold packages?
Bronze is our starter package and centres around building a relationship with your list via regular newsletters, company magazines, a client survey, and a sales campaign.
Silver is our intermediate package which includes the same relationship building as the Bronze package, but offers more opportunities for sales campaigns, plus the added bonus of regular social media posts.
Gold is our premium package which allows you to utilise the skills of our writers for bespoke content individualised specifically for your business, as well as sales boosting campaigns, comprehensive social media posting, regular newsletters and a customer survey.
5: How much do I need to invest?
Email marketing is a long term strategy that takes time to build and produce results. Therefore, all of our packages require a 12-month commitment from you and range between $299 and $499 per month. If you choose to pay the full amount of the package upfront then we can offer you 2 months free.
6: How big does my database need to be, I don’t think mine is big enough…
Having at least 200 contacts is a good starting point for your list. Often you will have more contacts than you realise once you add in your current and past customers, your prospects and potentials, and people from your centre of influence – those that influence the buying decision of your clients (bankers, accountants etc.)
7: How does my database get looked after?
We ensure complete confidentiality and security when it comes to your list. Your database will only be used for your own client communication and nothing else. We commit to providing your list with relevant and valuable content that complies with legal requirements such as the anti-spam laws.
8: How do I maintain, add or unsubscribe contacts from my database?
We have several options for you to maintain your list. You can update the records through our client portal https://newsletterready.co.nz/client-data-management/ , send us a push notification for new subscribers from to your website, or you can send us an updated list every month in CSV file format.
9: What makes Big Rock different to other digital marketing agencies?
We are specialists in content marketing. Our focus is on creating quality email communication, but because we have the content available we can also offer add on services like social media posting.

11: What will I get from my service with Big Rock?
We commit to providing all of the services that are outlined in your 12 month programme. In order to do this, you need to ensure you have responded to our communications by the specified monthly deadlines.
12: What is expected of me?
There is not much that you have to do as we handle the lion’s share of the work. But the one thing we do need you to do is respond to our emails by the specified monthly deadline so that we can proceed with preparing your client communications.
If you choose not to send your monthly email marketing message at any stage, then just let us know and it will not be sent. Please note, however, that your subscription payment will still apply.
13: Why is the minimum term of engagement 12 months?
Email marketing is a process that takes time to get results, so a 12 month commitment will give you a clear picture of what we can achieve. And, because you are committing to a 12 month term we are able to offer such competitive pricing for our packages.
14: What further opportunities do I have as a client of Big Rock?
We have more than just newsletter services available. In fact, we offer a complete content solution with our add on services. You can enjoy bespoke content created specifically for your business, social media posting to your business pages, and testimonials crafted especially for you – all things that build your brand and supplement our core focus of email communication.
15: How do I get started?

16: What are my payment options?
You can choose to pay monthly by direct debit or as a lump sum by invoice. We have facility for you to pay by bank transfer, or via credit card.
17: What happens if I change my mind?
All of our packages require a 12 month commitment. So if you are wanting to opt out within that term, no refund will be provided unless extenuating circumstances apply. Big Rock truly are communication experts that can help to grow your business if you give us the chance.
18: I understand that Big Rock could be serving my competitor, how do I know you won’t be sending the same newsletter for us both?
During the setup phase we will have a comprehensive discussion with you about the focus for your business and your core services. We have hundreds of articles to choose from in our library and each newsletter is tailored to your business’ core focus.
19: What is the next step after I sign up?
Once we have discussed and implemented payment terms, we will get together for an onboarding meeting to get you set up within our client portal and draft your first email communications – most likely your company newsletter
